Terms of Use for Open Data Portals and Datasets

All data and datasets published by Somalia on this Open Data Portal are provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0). The Somali National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) provides users with access to the Portal free of charge, subject to the terms of this agreement and the general Terms and Conditions which are incorporated into these Data Portal Terms. While this Portal is governed by the CC-BY 4.0 License, the general Terms and Conditions of the SNBS website are also applicable to this Portal. Where these Portal Terms conflict with the general Terms and Conditions, the general Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Use of data derived from the datasets, which may appear in formats such as tables and charts, is also subject to these Terms.

Users are encouraged to use the datasets on this site to benefit themselves and others in creative ways. Users are permitted to extract, download, and make copies of the data contained in the datasets, as well as share the data with third parties within the terms of use listed below while citing the data source. By using or downloading the datasets on the Data portal of Somalia or the Open Data Platform of the SNBS, you are agreeing to comply with the Terms and Conditions of a CC-BY 4.0 License, as well as the terms specified in this License. The SNBS hereby grants users a worldwide, royalty-free, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, and irrevocable freedom to use the data and databases under the following terms:

Attribution

Users must attribute any public use of the database, or works produced from the database, to the author and/or owner of the copyrighted material, which includes providing a link to the data source.
