The Directorate of Production Statistics (DPS) at the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) is responsible for collecting, analyzing, managing, and disseminating statistical data across key economic and environmental sectors. These include agriculture, livestock, fisheries, environment, energy, water, transport, infrastructure, food security, and nutrition. DPS plays a fundamental role in supporting evidence-based policymaking, national development planning, and the implementation of Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (NTP) through the provision of accurate, credible, and timely statistics.

Agriculture Statistics
Agriculture is the backbone of Somalia’s economy, contributing to approximately 60% of the national GDP and serving as the primary
