The Somalia Consumer Price Index (CPI). Over the twelve months to September 2025, the CPI rose 3.9%.The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Personal Care, Social Protection and Misc (+7.9%), Recreation, Sports, and Culture (+7.1%), Education Services (+6.0%), Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (+4.8%) and Health (+4.5%).

Price increases were strong for the month of September across the states with South-West State (+7.5%), Banadir (+5.3%), Hirshabelle (+5.1%), Jubaland (+4.7%), and Galmudug (+4.3%). A minor offset from Puntland (-4.0%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

Price increases were strong for the month of August across the states with Banadir (+5.5%), South-West State (+4.9%), Hirshabelle (+4.7%), Jubaland (+4.4%), and Galmudug (+4.4%). A minor offset from Puntland (-4.0%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.
