The Somalia Consumer Price Index (CPI).Over the twelve months to February 2026, the CPI rose 5.7%.The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Education Services (+14.9%), Restaurant and Accommodation services (+12.8%), Health (+12,.2%)and Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages (+7.8%).

Price increases were strong for the month of February across the states with Galmudug (+7.9%), South-West State (+7.0%), Banadir (+6.0%), Hirshabelle (+5.5%), Jubaland (+5.2%) and Puntland (+2.9%).

The Somalia Consumer Price Index (CPI).Over the twelve months to January 2026, the CPI rose 5.5%. The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Education Services (+14.3%), Restaurant and Accommodation services (+10.0%) , Health (+9.4%), and Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages (+7.7%)

Price increases were strong for the month of January across the states with South-West State (+7.3%), Galmudug (+6.8%), Hirshabelle (+5.4%), Banaadir (+5.3%), Jubaland (+4.3%), and Puntland (+2.7%).

The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Restaurant and Accommodation services (+14.1%), Personal Care, Social Protection and Misc (+11.0%) , Health (+10.6%), Education Services (+8.6%) and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (+6.6%).

Price increases were strong for the month of December across the states with South-West State (+8.0%), Banadir (+5.7%), Hirshabelle (+5.6%), Jubaland(+4.8%), and Galmudug (+4.3%). A minor offset from Puntland (-1.3%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Personal Care, Restaurant and Accommodation services (+14.6%), Social Protection and Misc (+11.9%) Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (+6.1%), Education Services (+5.1%) and Health (+4.3%).

Price increases were strong for the month of November across the states with South-West State (+9.1%), Banadir (+5.2%), Hirshabelle (+6.6%), Jubaland (+4.8%), and Galmudug (+4.2%). A minor offset from Puntland (-2.2%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

Price increases were strong for the month of October across the states with South-West State (+7.0%), Banadir (+5.4%), Hirshabelle (+5.1%), Jubaland (+4.8%), and Galmudug (+4.3%). A minor offset from Puntland (-3.3%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

The most significant price rises over the twelve months were Personal Care, Social Protection and Misc (+14.8%), Education Services (+11.8%), Recreation, Sports, and Culture (+11.1%), Clothing and Footwear (+5.1%), and Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels (+4.5%).

Price increases were strong for the month of August across the states with Banadir (+5.5%), South-West State (+4.9%), Hirshabelle (+4.7%), Jubaland (+4.4%), and Galmudug (+4.4%). A minor offset from Puntland (-4.0%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

Price increases were strong for the month of July across the states with Banadir (+6.4%), South-West State (+4.7%), Galmudug (+4.6%), Jubaland (+2.2%), and Hirshabelle (+1.1%). A minor offset from Puntland (-5.0%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

Price increases for the month of June characterized nearly all the states with Jubaland (+3.3%), Hirshabelle (+1.6%), South-West State (+5.8%), Galmudug (+5.8%), and Banadir (+4.1%). Puntland (-5.5%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.

Price increases were strong for the month of May across the states with Hirshabelle (+8.3%), South-West State (+8.0%), Galmudug (+6.4%), Jubaland (+5.8%) and Banadir (+5.8%). A minor offset from Puntland (-2.3%) had a dampening effect due to its significant weight.
